CASO started in Sofigund Tral village
Pulwama: Amid a raging gun battle in Kelam area of Kulgam district, government forces on Sunday laid siege over Sofigund area of Tral in Pulwama district.
According to sources joint forces of 42 RR, 180 BN CRPF and JK Police launched a cordon and search operation in the area and sealed the entire village.
Locals said that a large contingent of the forces arrived in the area and laid cordon over the area sealing all the entry and exit points.
“The operation was launched after a specific input about militant’s presence in the area,” sources revealed.
“The operation has been launched to flush out hiding militants in the local population but till now contact has not been established with the militants,” sources added. (KNO)
