Malik pays tribute to Zahid Farooq, Adv Hussain, others

Srinagar: Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik on Thursday paid tributes to Advocate Muhammad Hussein, Muhammad Yakoob Khan (Chataiee), Ghulam Muhammad and Muhammad Maqbool Teli on their anniversaries.
Recalling their sacrifices, Malik said that “these martyrs sacrificed their today for our tomorrow.”
According to a statement issued here, Malik said that Advocate Hussein was a highly educated person who embraced martyrdom at JKLF headquarters. JKLF Chief expressed solidarity with their families.
Meanwhile, JKLF also paid tributes to innocent Zahid Farooq who was martyred in 2010, on his anniversary and expressed solidarity with his bereaved family.
Furthermore, the JKLF spokesman said Malik who was detained yesterday while leading a protest program at Lal chowk still remains in police custody along with another JKLF senior Ghulam Muhammad Dar. Both are lodged at police station Kothi-Bagh.
