The Twitterati comprising former Jammu and Kashmir chief ministers as well criticisedModi for what they said waving at nothing in the lake when whole Kashmir was observing shutdown amid a lockdown against his visit.
Former J&K CM Omar Abdullah while sharing a video on Twitter where Modi can be seen waving during boat ride in Dal Lake sarcastically remarked that the camera man has done disservice to PM for not showing the crowd Modi was waving at.
“This camera person has done the Hon PM a huge disservice by not showing all the people furiously waving back because there is no way the PM would be waving at an empty lake,” Omar tweeted.
The ex-CM of J&K and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti too criticized Modi for waving to ‘countless imaginary friends’ in Kashmir.
“For those who are asking, the wave is for BJPs countless imaginary ‘friends’ in Kashmir,” Mehbooba tweeted.
Modi was in Kashmir on Sunday on a day-long visit to the state during which the Boulevard road that circles around the Dal lake was shut a day before.
The whole valley was shut in protest on strike called by the Joint Resistance Leadership.
