In road safety week 127 drivers undergo health checkup in Rajouri

RAJOUR: The health check up of about 127 drivers today marked the second day of celebration of “road safety week” organised by the Motor vehicle Department.

 

The health check-up camp was jointly organized by the MVD and health department at old bus stand Rajouri, which was also attended by the locals apart from the drivers of Rajouri-Poonch route.

 

While speaking on the occasion, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Neeraj Sharma advised the drivers to pay special attention to their health which is crucial towards their safety and safety of other road users. He also asked them to abide by the traffic rules and laws as every life is precious.

 

Medical Superintendent District hospital, Mehmood Hussain Bajar, informed that a special team of doctors conducted the health checkup of the participants and advised them for adopting a healthy lifestyle to remain fit mentally and physically.

 

Later, free medicines were also distributed among the drivers and cleaners.

 

Chairman Jammu-Poonch group bus services, Inspector Motor Vehicle Department and other concerned were present on the occasion.
