Police arrests thief in Srinagar, recovers stolen items including cash
Srinagar: Police on Monday claimed to have arrested a thief and recovered cash and stolen items from his possession.
Police spokesman said that they were acting on complaint that a thief had stolen a bag from Sumkachbal Khanyar mosque which contained some cash, one mobile phone, important documents and other personal belongings .
“During the course of investigation, one accused person namely Sufiyaan Rafiq Baigh son of Mohammad Rafiq resident of Uri Baramulla, presently residing at Dalgate, was arrested,” police said.
Police said that Rs. 62,000 (Sixty two thousands) cash, mobile phone (J7), documents and other personal belongings were recovered from the accused person.
