Police announces traffic diversions

Srinagar: Traffic police on Friday issued an advisory for the next two days in view of Prime Minister NarendraModi’s visit to the valley.
“In view of the visit of Prime Minister NarinderModi to SKICC Srinagar, Traffic Police City Srinagar has formulated a route plan for February 3, Sunday and the plan will be put into action from Saturday afternoon,” said an advisory issued by traffic department.
“No traffic shall be allowed to ply from BadyariChowk to Nishat via Boulevard and similarly no traffic shall be allowed from Ram MunshiBagh towards Grand Palace and Nishat via Gupkar,” it said.
“Commuters travelling from Harwan, Shalimar, Nishat and adjacent areas towards LalChowk are requested to travel via Foreshore Road and Hazratbal,” it added.
“Commuters travelling from Dalgate, LalChowk and adjacent areas towards Harwan, Shalimar, Nishat shall adopt Nowpora, Khayam, Rainawari to reach their respective destinations,” read the advisory issued by traffic department.
