Three drug peddlers arrested
Handwara: Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three drug peddlers and recovered charas from their possession.
Police sources said that it has arrested three drug peddlers and recovered Charas and other drugs from their possession in Qaziabad area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
They said that acting on specific information, Kralgund police station SHO Inspector Sheikh Javid arrested three drug peddlers identified as Abdul Rashid Ganie of Ganapora, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat and Parvez Ahmad Shah alias Javid Shah residents of Kralgund Qaziabad.
In this regard, a case under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Kralgund and investigation has been taken up.
“The arrested persons are habitual drug peddlers, they procure charas from different areas and sell it to youngsters in Kralgund Qaziabad area in north Kashmir,” officials said.
