ECI defers it’s J&K visit, had to take final call on LS, Parliamentary polls
Srinagar: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has deferred its visit to Jammu and Kashmir on January 27 and 28.
The move that could suggest that the assembly polls in the state might be delayed.
Reports said that the team, headed by Chief Election Commissioner, Sunil Arora, was to visit the state to review the situation and make final decision on holding Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the State or defer the Assembly elections by few months.
However, reports quoting sources said that the the team has postponed its visit to the state due to unknown reasons.
