Militants slain in Hapatnar gunfight identified, all local, affiliated to Al Badr
Srinagar: The three militants killed on Monday in Hapatnar area of Budgam have been identified as locals including two from Pulwama and one from Shopian.
“The killed militants have been identified as Sabzar Ahmad son of Ali Mohammad Mir resident of Lassipora Pulwama, Syed Rabani son of Mohammad Hussain resident of Nazneenpora Shopian and Towseef Ahmad Itoo son of Abdul Aziz resident of Nowpora Payeen Pulwama,” Police said in a statement issued here.
Police said that the slain were affiliated with Al-Badar outfit and were wanted in a series of cases including attack on security establishments.
“Incriminating material including arms & ammunition were recovered from the site of encounter. All these materials have been taken in the case records for the purpose of investigation,” police said.
Bodies of the killed militants were handed over to their families after completion of medico-legal formalities.
