Ramban: AwamiItehaad Party (AIP) president and former Langate legislator, Engineer Abdul Rasheed Sheikh on Thursday urged state administration not to become rubber stamps in the hands of political parties.
According to a statement issued here, ErRasheed claimed that AIP is the only viable political alternative that can truly and sincerely speak for the political aspirations of people of the state.
“To hide their failures, all these parties have been constantly misusing their position and not allowing AIP to take its mission to every nook and corner of the state,” ErRasheed said.
Addressing a huge gathering at KhariRamban, ErRasheed said that neither talking about resolution to Kashmir dispute amounts to being communal nor fighting against VIP culture, miss governance and nepotism is a crime.
“Let people of J&K decide what they want, not the agencies. Kashmir issue is not that of a religion or a region but it has affected every single individual and its resolution will open a new era of development in the entire state. It is BJP, congress and their puppets in J&K who don’t want to people even listen about the dividends of resolution of Kashmir dispute,” he said.
ErRasheed added that New Delhi has nothing significant to show that could authenticate its claims of J&K being put on track to become a state that could compete at national and international level.
“The failure of New Delhi to construct even a pity four lane road from Jammu to Srinagar, the miserable living conditions of people living in Chenab valley and outsourcing all resources expose New Delhi’s real intentions,” he said.
AIP president appealed masses to own AIP as an alternate platform and sought votes for party nominee ArifWaheed who is a well-known journalist, social and political activist and has played a vital role to highlight the sufferings of masses.
Speaking on the occasion, Party’s founder leader Tariq Rasheed said that people must give AIP a chance to represent them and said party has represented people of J&K in and outside assembly without compromising the truth.
Party District president Ramban and nominee for the up-coming elections ArifWaheed said that people of Chenab valley are ready to take AIP’s mission to every door and said that party believes in serving all sections of society without discrimination and without compromising its principal stand on various issues.
