Srinagar:Fresh Snowfall begun in parts of valley although night temperatures brought a bit respite as it rose from its previous records.

While Srinagar had minus 2.1 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam was -4.2, Qazigund, was – 2.9 degree, Kokernag -3, Gulmarg was – 6.0 ddegree.
Light snowfall was reported from Ganderbal district including Sonamarg, Gagangeer, Kulan, Gund and Kangan areas, and from Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district as well.

Snowfall began in Srinagar as well.

Meteorological department has predicted ‘stronger intensity’ snow from January 19 to 23 with main activity on January 22.
