Police arrests drug peddler
Srinagar: Police in Srinagar arrested a drug peddler during routine patrolling in Nigeen area and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said.
He said that a police party at Nigeen arrested a drug peddler during routine patrolling of the area. The person was moving in suspicious conditions and tried to flee from the spot. However, the police party apprehended him and upon his personal search, 120 grams of charas was recovered from his possession.
Police registered a case FIR No 03/2019 under relevant sections of law and initiated investigations in the matter, the spokesman added.
