Burglary cases mounting in Sopore, three shops looted in 2 days

Sopore: Burglars on Monday night looted two shops and decamped with goods worth lakhs of rupees in North Kashmir’s Sopore town.
Reports said that burglars looted two shops belonging to Naseer Ahmad Gazi, son of Late Mohammad YousufGazi and Haji Manzoor Ahmed Mir, son of Mohammad Sultan Mir at Chota Bazar of Sopore during Monday night and decamped with goods worth lakhs.
Earlier, a hosiery shop belonging to Muhammad ShafiSofi at Chota Bazaar Sopore was also looted during Sunday night and the burglars decamped with hosiery items worth lakhs.
On these rising burglary incidents in Sopore town, scores of shopkeepers under the Presidentship of Traders Federation SoporeQaziHashmatullahHashmie held a protest against the district administration for failing to control burglary incidents in town.
They said that the trade in Sopore has got affected due to the rising burglary incidents.
Meanwhile, police said that a case has been registered in this regard while a manhunt has been launched to nab the burglars.
