Govt School in Bijbehara depicts poor academic standard of Govt institutions
3 students out of 18 qualified class 10 examinations
Anantnag: Depicting the poor academic standard of government institutions, a Government School in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district has shown poor performance in Class 10th examinations as only three students out of 18 have qualified.
As per the official data, the pass percentage this year was 75.44 percent as compared to last year’s 62.94% but the result of Government High School WaghamaBijbehara is below 20 per cent.
The school which is about two kilometers from Chinar town Bijbehara has staff strength of 14 and roll of the institution is around 100.
Anantnag district has pass percentage of 67.93% excluding private schools but the performance of this school is below par as only three students have qualified 10th class examinations that too with very low percentage.
Locals demanded that entire staff of the school should be immediately transferred as the result of the institution is very worse.
Despite repeated attempts Joint Director Education South Kashmir couldn’t be contacted.
