Protest erupt in Pulwama village
Srinagar: Protests have erupted in south Kashmir’s Koil village in Pulwama as the news about the death of a local militant spread in the area.
Reports said that following the brief encounter at Rinzipora in the township where a local militant died, youth took to streets and hurled stones on the forces deployed in the town soon after the news of killing of Ishfaq Wani of Koil village. The troops also retorted back bt firing tear gas shells.
Wani was affiliated with Hizbul Mujahideen outfit and was involved in many militancy related incidents in Pulwama district, a police official had said.
