Amid CASO, hideout busted in Awantipora

Pulwama: Amid a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Awantipora area of Pulwama district, government forces on Wednesday claimed to have busted a militant hideout in Karewas area of Baderwan village.
Officials said that a hideout in Baderwan village was busted during a search operation that was launched in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
Pertinently, Baderwan village is close to Beighpora, the native village of Hizb chief RiyazNaikoo and Malangpora, the native village of DrSafiullah, the deputy chief of the outfit.
Earlier, search operation was launched by a joint party of the Army including 55 RR, police and CRPF following the inputs about the presence of militants in the hideout.
During the CASO, the government forces busted the hideout with officials saying that some blankets and eatables were found from the hideout.
An intelligence officer told this reporter that they have strong inputs that this hideout was being used by Hizb top commanders including RiyazNaikoo.
Meanwhile, internet services were snapped in Awantipora and Pulwama in wake of the massive search operation, which remained snapped for about six hours and were later restored.
