Police version regarding Arwani grenade attack
Srinagar: After six paramilitary CRPF troopers were injured when suspected militants lobbed a grenade towards a patrol party at Arwani area of Bijbehara, J&K Police has issued a statement regarding the incident. The statement is produced here verbatim:
“Today evening from a crowd in Arwani Bijbehara at District Anantnag, terrorists lobbed a grenade towards security forces.
In this incident five security force personnel sustained injuries. They were evacuated to hospital for medical treatment. After administering them with first aid, all the five security forces personnel were discharged from the hospital and are stated to be stable.
Police has registered a case and the investigation in the matter is underway.”
