Two Sopore residents held along with 38 kgs of Fukki

Baramulla: Police on Thursday claimed to have recovered 38 Kgs of Fukki in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Police said that a check post was established at Nihalpora road near Cheksari crossing in Pattan. During the naka one load carrier bearing registration number JK05F 7615 was intercepted in which large quantity of fukki was recovered.
“Two accused drug peddlers were arrested and the vehicle was also seized. The accused have been identified as Sajad Ahmad Sheikh son of Bashir Ahmad Sheikh and Nadeem Ahmad Lone son of Manzoor Ahmad Lone, both residents of Sher Colony Sopore,” police said.
Meanwhile, an FIR number 229/2018 US 8/22NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Pattan and further investigations were taken up, police added.
