Srinagar: One of the two civilians killed in government forces action against protesters at Sirnoo area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district was MBA pass out from a university in Indonesia.

The slain Abid Hussain Lone had also married in Indonesia and had three months old baby. Abid considered as an intelligent fellow had returned home last year along with his wife from Indonesia to join his family comprising mother, a retired government teacher, and his brother who is presently pursuing MBA degree in Banglore.

Abid, a resident of Kareemabad, Pulwama was killed when government forces fired live ammunition to chase away the protesters near the site of the gunfight in which three militants were killed and two army soldiers injured.

Besides, Abid, another civilian Amir Ahmad Paul was killed in government forces action early on Saturday.

Three militants were killed and two soldiers injured in the gunfight which erupted early today morning. (GNS)
