Shia leader Abid Anasri quits PDP
Srinagar: Days after former Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu parted ways with PDP, Shia leader and former MLA Zadibal constituency Abis Hussain Ansari also announced his resigned from Peoples Democratic Party.
Announcing his resignation on microblogging website Twitter, Ansari said the PDP has failed the people on all fronts.
“I hereby announce my resignation from @jkpdp as the party has failed the people of J&K on all fronts. I don’t want to be a part of the lies and deception being perpetuated by the party. Have sent a detailed letter of resignation to @MehboobaMufti. Will soon interact with the media,” tweeted Abid Ansari.
This comes two days after former finance minister and PDP MLA Haseeb Drabu resigned from the party.
Abid’s nephew Imran Ansari recently left the PDP and joined the People’s Conference (PC) led by former minister Sajad Gani Lone.
