Rajouri man arrested for sending obscene content to Srinagar girl
Srinagar: A man from Rajouri was on Friday arrested after a complaint was filed against him for sending obscene content to a girl from Srinagar, police claimed on Friday.
Police said that Muzafar Ahmed Mughal resident of Rajouri was sending obscene content to a Srinagar girl, besides demanding money and blackmailing her.
“The father of a girl (name withheld) approached Police Station Nishat with a complaint that Muzaffar is sending obscene content to her daughter in Srinagar, besides demanding money and blackmailing her,” police said, adding that a case was registered in this regard.
Police said that a team was formed under the supervision of Station House Officer (SHO) police station Nishat Mohammad Ayoub Rather to nab the accused.
During the course of the investigation, the police team apprehended the accused person from Rajouri area. All the incriminating material has been seized, police said.
A case FIR No 70/2018 under section 506 RPC, 66-C, 66-E IT Act has been registered, it added.
Police later appealed people to approach police if they face any such incident or the social crime so that culprits are brought to justice.
