Thousands attend slain militants funeral prayers
Srinagar: Thousands of people on Tuesday assembled at Rathsuna Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district to take part in the last rites of Shakir Hassan Dar.
Shakir, who was affiliated with Zakir Musa-led Ansar Ghazwat ul Hind outfit was killed in a gunfight with the forces in Reshipora area on Tuesday morning.
Dar was later laid to rest amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogans, witnesses said. They said that several rounds of funeral prayers were held before he was buried.
