Train services across Kashmir suspended
Srinagar: Authorities have decided to keep the train services suspended on Monday over ‘security reasons’ amid shutdown in Kashmir valley over Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) call against militants and civilian killings in recent days by government forces.
An officials said that the decision to not let trains move was taken after fresh advisory from police last night.
“Train will not chug on Badgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region and will also remain suspended on Srinagar-Badgam-Baramulla in north Kashmir,” he said.
Yesterday seven militants were killed in two different encounters in Pulwama and Kulgam by security forces.
