Kashmiris being wiped out, world acting as mute spectator: JKDFP

Srinagar: Expressing deep shock and grief over the day to day killings of youth, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) on Saturday appealed the world forums to intervene and use their influence to stop the ongoing genocide of Kashmiri people. The spokesperson said in a statement issued here said that “Kashmiris are being wiped out by the forces and ironically the whole world is a mute spectator and watching how the freedom loving people of Kashmir are being massacred in the name of gunfights and all.”
“We Kashmiri people have made only sin of demanding the rights already accepted and acknowledged by the world community. For it we are being killed, jailed, disappeared and bruised,” he said.
However, he reiterated that world has to listen to the just demand of the oppressed Kashmiri people who are steadfastly on path of a struggle to achieve their right to self determination.
The spokesperson appealed the human rights bodies’ active world over to come to the rescue of Kashmiris who are facing every sort of oppression and suppression at the hands of authorities.
“The level of human rights violations have dropped further more in the disputed region and the people living here are not feeling safe even in their native areas,” he said.
Meanwhile, DFP paid tributes to Azad Ahmad Malik of Arwani, Unais Shafi of Takiya Maqbool Shah Bijbehara, Basit Ishtiyaq of Pushwara Anantnag, Atif Najar of Waghama Bijbehara, Firdous Ahmad of Muchpuna Pulwama and Shahid Bashir of Kawni Awantipora who were killed in Bijbehara encounter on Friday.
