Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leaders and workers on Wednesday organized a protest at Abiguzar Srinagar here against the killing of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat district president Mir Hafizullah.
The protesting leaders and activists condemned the kiling of Mir and termed it as ‘cowardly act’.
“Such barbaric and inhuman acts by the Indian democracy is an ugly mole, disfiguring it beyond recognition. Such actions prove beyond doubt the brutal and inhuman mindset of the oppressor,” the protesters said, adding that “wiping away pro-freedom personalities and creating a fear psychosis in their families can in no way be tolerated and any conscious and civilized person with human heart cannot remain silent.”
Speakers said that “these extra judicial killings are carried out by well nit and well organized plan to send shock waves through the pro-freedom camp and these killers and their masters pretend to be innocent.”
“Indian agencies very cunningly and arrogantly put the blame on “un-identified” as this misnomer has been creating havoc for the last 30 years throughout the state of Jammu and Kashmir,” they said, adding that under the patronage of agencies and forces, these guns have long back been recognized by the Kashmiries and people cannot be deceived by government narratives.
“Military might and its lusty supporters have miserably failed to contain the pro-freedom sentiment and people’s commitment, that is why they have stooped so low to act upon the kill list prepared 2 years ago, so that sincere and dedicated leaders, workers and sympathizers are gunned in cold-blood in broad-day-light and deceitfully escaping the blame,” they said.
Leaders reiterated their stand that “such cowardly and inhuman acts can in no way suppress us and every drop of spilled blood of our martyrs gives the freedom struggle courage and inspiration to be more aggressive and committed.”
