Hafizullah was a great soldier of Kashmir movement: Mirwaiz
Srinagar: On the direction of Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a high-level delegation of amalgam and Awami Action Committee (AAC) led by senior leader Muhammad Shafi Khan visited Badoora, Achabal, Islamabad to express solidarity with the family members of slain Tehreek-e-Hurriyat district president Hafizullah Mir.
The delegation strongly condemned the killing of Hafizullah Mir by unidentified gunmen and also conveyed the condolence message of Mirwaiz to the bereaved family.
Speaking over phone with the Ghulam Qadir Mir, the brother of slain Hafizullah Mir, Mirwaiz expressed his heartfelt condolence and sympathy and paid tributes to the slain leader.
He said that Hafizullah was a great soldier of Kashmir movement, who remained steadfast towards his mission till his last breath.
Mirwaiz also prayed for the highest standards in Janah for the slain.
Meanwhile, speaking on the occasion, Hurriyat and AAC delegation also paid tributes to Hafizullah Mir stating that he never bowed before the pressure despite facing tough times and instead continued to work for the demand of right to self determination.
“Kashmir is full of graveyards where people who sacrifices their everything for the cause of right to self determination and Hafizuallah is one among them whose sacrifices will always be remembered,” they said.
The members said that under a well planned conspiracy, resistance leaders and activists are being selectively targeted to push the resistance camp into a submission. At the end, the members offered a special fateh prayer for slain Hafizullah.
