Shopian gunfight: Two militants, one Para commando killed in ongoing encounter
Srinagar: Two militants and a Para commando has been killed so far in ongoing fierce gun battle between militants and goverment forces in Nadigam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A senior police official said that two militants and one Para commando has been killed in ongoing operation at Nadigam.
Notably, three army men were wounded in the gunfight that broke out early morning.
As reported a predawn gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Nadigam village after a joint team of army’s 34RR, 23 PARA and SOG Shopian cordoned off the area following credible input about presence of some militants in the area.
The operation is still going on, reports said. (with inputs from GNS)
