Mehfil-e-Milad held at CSAS Kashmir University
Srinagar: Markaz-i Noor Centre for Shaikh-ul-Aalam Studies (CSAS), University of Kashmir organized a Mehfil-e Milad in collaboration with J&K Bank, Hazratbal on Tuesday.
Besides different events and programs, a NaatiyaMushaira was also held.
The Mushaira began with the recitation of a Naat by famous NaatKhaan of the Valley Abul Hassan Farooqi.
The Mushaira was presided over by the Prof. Margoob Banhali.
On the occasion Ghulam. Nabi Khayal, Prof. Majrooh Rashid, Dr.Mehfooza Jan, Dr.Shafqat Altaf, RanjoorTilgami, Zareef Ahmad Zareef, Shahnaaz Rashid, Bashir Arif, MajeedMansoor, Ghulam. Hassan Gamgeen, RehanaKounsar and Ghulam. Muhammad Lone also recited their Naatiya poetry in the Naatiya Poetic Symposium.
While welcoming the poets and the participants the Chairperson CSAS Dr Mehfooza Jan highlighted the message and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and further underscored the need to follow the path of the Prophet (PBUH) for rebuilding peace and tranquility throughout the world.
The Chairperson of the Centre thanked the collaborating agency for conduct of the Naatiya Mehfil.
Ashaq Hussian Mir research scholar of the Centre conducted the proceeding of theNaatiya Poetic Symposium.
