CRPF trooper dies in mishap
Awantipora: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man died in a road accident at Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday, police said.
Police sources said that a CRPF vehicle turned turtle on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Kachachkoot area of Awantipora, leaving a trooper injured.
The injured, identified as Gulab Chand of CRPF 130 battalion, was shifted to Primary Health Center (PHC) Awantipora where he succumbed, the police official said.
Meanwhile, police has registered a case in this regard and the body of the deceased was sent for legal formalities, said the official.
