Bandipora-Gurez road may open today
Bandipora: Beacon officials have said that men and machinery are on the job to open the Bandipora-Gurez road that has been closed for the vehicular traffic post a medium snowfall in the area during the last three days.
The officials said that after continuous snowfall for three days, men and machines have been deputed to throw open the road.
“Five dozers, two payloaders , snow cutters and BRO personnel involved in snow clearance operation being done from Tragbal, Kanzalwan and Dawar locations to open BandipurGurez road at the earliest are working round the clock,” an official said.
He however, added that their personnel are working under tiring conditions as possibility of snow avalanche hovers in the area.
“Efforts are on to open the road by Friday as the area has witnessed a heavy snowfall,” he added.
