Killing spree started in 1947 still going on: JKDFP
Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) on Tuesday said that killing spree started by Hindu fascist forces in 1947 is still going on.
JKDFP as per a statement issued here remembered the martyrs of Jammu and all the martyrs of Kashmir who laid their lives so far for the cause of freedom.
The JKDFP spokesperson said that “Hindu fascist forces started a killing spree in 1947 which is still going on; however, these forces have not succeeded in killing the freedom sentiment of the majority people living in the disputed region.”
“Muslims of Jammu Kashmir are continuously being massacred since 1947. First it was done in the name of Hindu jingoism and now the bloody and dirty deed is done in the name of national interest,” he said.
He said that in just three months of 1947 lakhs of Muslims were martyred in Jammu areas by the help of then government. “Nothing has changed for the J&K Muslims since then, Muslims are being killed even now,” JKDFP spokesperson said.
He expressed complete solidarity with the Muslims living in Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Bhaderwah, Gool Gulabgarh and Kishtwar areas and assured the brethren living in the Jammu areas that their sacrifices will bear fruit sooner or later and then all will live a life of dignity and honour.
He pledged that any attempt to divide the Muslims of Jammu Kashmir will be resisted tooth and nail.
JKDFP spokesperson said that despite killing spree in Jammu Kashmir since 1947 majority people are firm on their demand of their political rights acknowledged by the international community from time to time.
