Srinagar: Expressing serious concern over the day to day killings in Kashmir, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) on Friday paid tributes to the slain militants Mukhtar Ahmad Khan of Arizal Budgam, Mohammad Amin Mir of Pampore and Naseer Ahmad Teli of Arampora, Sopore who were killed in different gunfights.
The Spokesperson in a statement issued here termed the current situation in Kashmir created by CASOs and other army operations.
He said that “killings have become a routine in the disputed region and these killings are a direct result of the army operations like CASOs and nakas.”
The spokesperson said that by killing the youth of Kashmir New Delhi cannot crush the freedom sentiment of the people living in the disputed region.
“The killings are going on in the region ever since the Indian army landed here but the love for freedom among the people has increased manifold after every killing,” he said.
He said that New Delhi must shun its unprincipled stance over Kashmir so that the ongoing bloodshed is stopped.
“If New Delhi is serious in peace and stability it must accept the basic realities about the Kashmir dispute and take practical political measures to resolve the dispute so that people living in the south Asian region can live in peaceful conditions,” he said.
Saluting the slain and paying them reverence, the DFP spokesperson said that “our martyrs are the real torch bearers of the freedom struggle who give their today for our tomorrow.”
The spokesperson said that New Delhi is not paying heed to the people’s sentiments and is continuously using its military might to crush the people. However, the exhibition of the military might can only create newer problems instead of resolving them.
