Srinagar: Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH), Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai on Wednesday paid tributes to the slain Tral militants, saying that “the finest tribute one can pay to martyrs is to safeguard their exemplary investment of their precious blood.”
According to the statement issued here, Sehraie said, “those serving their nation sacrificing precious lives are beacon lights of our cherished movement.”
He said that the nation will never budge from its stand and will carry their mission till its logical end. “The sacrifices rendered by these brave hearts are praise worthy and exemplary. These martyrs deserve our salute and we are indebted to their revered sacrifices and these sacrifices are valuable assets for our movement,” he said.
“The prevailing political uncertainty and instability in Jammu and Kashmir is taking heavy tool over the precious human lives for which India is responsible as it is using military power to suppress the ongoing struggle by its brute force,” he said.
Sehraie said “vandalizing properties, killing, maiming and brutalizing people with bullets and pallets all these suppressive measures won’t force to us submission and break our resolve.”
He said “authorities waged a brutal war against the unarmed and innocent Kashmiris to silence the demand of right to self-determination and it is the continuity of the very same statement with Indian army chief frequently reiterated in his statements.”
Sehraie strongly condemned and expressed his concern over the fresh crackdown on youth and nocturnal raids by government forces in Kushipora Islamabad and ‘subjugating’ them to torture in police stations is ‘barbaric and shameful’, and added “these measures bound to have serious consequences.”
Strongly condemning the forces assault on the media man Aijaz Ahmad Dar and pumping pellets on him, which left him seriously injured and stated that “the act was highly condemnable and shameful, even scribes not spared.”
Meanwhile, expressing solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved family of Mohammad Yaseen Yatoo, Sehraie visited his home to condole to the sad demise of his grandmother, who passed away on yesterday.
Sehraie termed the contribution of said family towards the freedom movement is exemplary and committed to the cause. He prayed for the deceased soul.
He denounces slapping PSA on Bashir Ahmad Bhat of Mawar Kupwara and sending him to Kot Bhalwal Jammu and termed it ‘disgusting and barbaric’. “As the government is hell bent to choke every pro-freedom political space and every voice across that raised in favour of liberation of Kashmir,” he said.
