Slain Arwani militants laid to rest after multiple funerals

Anantnag/Kulgam: The slain four militants who were killed in Arwani encounter on Thursday evening were on Friday laid to rest in their native village while as thousands of people participated in their funeral prayers.
Thousands of people including children and women took part in the funeral prayers of the four slain militants.
Sources from Arwani said that thousands of people from different areas of South Kashmir participated in funeral prayers of Sahir Makroo in Arwani area of Bijbehara.
They said in order to accommodate the heavy rush of people at least three rounds of funeral prayers were held.
Sources said that multiple funeral prayers were also held for slain militant Owais.
The slain militant was later laid to rest amid pro-freedom and pro-militant slogans.
Sources from Watoo Aharbal Kulgam said that multiple funeral prayers were held before Muzammil was laid to rest amid pro-Pakistani and pro-Islamic slogans.
Similar reports came from Damhal Hanjipora area of Kulgam district, said that the slain militant, Amir was laid to rest in his native village after multiple funeral prayers amid pro-Islamic slogans.
Pertinently, four militants identified as SahirMakroo of Arwani, Owais Ahmad Lone from Howrah Mishpora area of Kulgam, Muzamil Magray of Watoo Aharbal and Amir Tantray of Damhal Hanjipora Kulgam were killed in a gunfight with the forces in Khar Mohalla of Arwani on Thursday evening.
Meanwhile, a complete shutdown was observed in Kulgam, Anantnag and many parts of Pulwama and Shopian districts of South Kashmir to mourn the death of the militants.
