Man held, illegal timber seized
Sopore: Police on Tuesday night arrested a person and seized large quantity of illegal timber loaded in a Tata mobile vehicle in Rafiabad area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports said that a person identified as Bashir Ahmad War, son of Ghulam Mohiudin War of ChatoosaRafiabad was arrested by the police on late last night during a naka at the jurisdiction of police station Dangiwacha and large quantity of illegal timber along with vehicle bearing registration number JK05 A-6008 was seized.
Meanwhile, a police official while confirming said that a case bearing FIR No.145/2018 U/S 379 RPC 6 has been registered in Dangiwacha Police Station and further investigation has been taken up.
