Arwani encounter: 4 militants killed, operation on, says Police
Srinagar: 4 militants have been so far killed in an operation which is still on in Arwani area of Bijbehara, police said.
“So far four militants have been killed and searches are underway,” a police official said.
He said the identity of other three slain militants is yet to be ascertained. “Three weapons have been recovered from the gunfight site,” he said.
Earlier today, a gunfight broke out between militants and the government forces after forces launched a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Arwani.
One of the slain militants was identified as Sahil Makroo of Arwani.
Intense clashes erupted in the area as soon as the news of militant killings spread.
