Srinagar: Authorities on Monday issued a traffic advisory that they will not be allowing any vehicular movement between Regal Chowk and Amira Kadal on the residency road in Srinagar as Joint Resistance Leadership has asked people to march towards the city center on Tuesday.
“In view of security restrictions in Srinagar on 23rd of October, 2018, traffic will not be allowed to ply on Regal Chowk-Amira Kadal Bridge Road stretch,” said SSP Traffic city Tahir Gilani, while requesting commuters to use the alternate routes to reach their destinations.
The JRL has called for a march to Lal Chowk to protest against killing of seven civilians in Kulgam yesterday.
Seven civilians and three militants were killed on Sunday in Laroo area of Kulgam. While militants were killed in a gun battle, civilians were ripped apart by an explosive when they tried to douse the flames of the burning house.
Kashmir and Chenab valley remained shut over JRL call for a complete shutdown against the killings.
