Fishing costs a youth his life
Srinagar: An 18-year old youth drowned while fishing in a pond constructed by Irrigation department at Chandigam area of Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, police said Saturday.
The youth identified as Shaheen Ahmad Mir (18) son of Abdul Rashid Mir, is a resident of Chandigam, Lolab.
Shaheen slipped and drowned in the Irrigation storage tank known as Mir Ser (pond) in the locality, they said.
A police official confirmed the death and said that a case under section 174 CrPC has been registered and further investigations have been taken up. (GNS)
