11 candidates win unopposed at Pattan in last phase
Pattan: At least 11 independent candidates from Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district have emerged as winner unopposed in the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) polls. Earlier eight candidates emerged victorious in Sopore during the third phase of ULB elections last week.
Officials said that all independent candidates have emerged as winner unopposed in Pattan town in the fourth and last phase of Municipal polls, which commenced in the state from October 08th.
Pertinently, 11 independent candidates had filled their nomination papers to contest ULB polls in Pattan town in 11 different wards out of total 13 wards, while as no candidate had filed nomination papers from two other wards.
