Low internet speed irk students, traders in southern districts

Anantnag: The high speed internet service 3g and 4g continued to remain barred in southern districts from the past six days.
The mobile internet was reduced in southern districts on Wednesday (10th October) ahead of Urban Local Bodies (ULB) polls in the Valley.
People mostly businessmen and students have suffer a lot due to reduction in mobile internet speed in South Kashmir.
“The slow internet services has led to losses to the business community,” Shabir Ahmad, a businessmen told ‘Kashmir Vision’.
“We are not even able to pay electricity bills, mobile bill’s, book railway and air tickets online due to low speed internet. We appeal higher authorities to restore the high speed internet at an earliest,” locals from southern districts said.
Meanwhile, the students also expressed anguish over the low speed internet, saying that “our exams are ahead and we are not able to prepare for our Board examinations due to suspension of high speed internet in South Kashmir.”
“Internet in this age is must for student to prepare from the emanations as the students read most of the lessons from internet. Due to low internet speed, we are facing difficulties to prepare ourselves from the examinations ahead,” the students said.
The students also appealed the authorities to restore high speed internet in southern district so that their hardships will end.
