Slain cop laid to rest in Sopore

Sopore: A policeman who was killed after being fired upon by suspected militants in Warpora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday late night, was Saturday laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard with police dept offering floral tributes to the slain policemen.
Hundreds of people gathered to attend the last rites of a slain policeman at his native village Warpora Sopore on Saturday morning. The dead body of cop Javid Ahmad lone reached in his native village on Saturday morning from DPL Sopore where he was given floral tributes and Guard of honour.
His body later was handed over to his family members for last rites. At this occasion DIG North Kashmir Range Baramulla and several other senior Police officers of the District were present.
