Malik recalls sacrifices of Late Dr Farooq on his 9th anniversary
Srinagar: Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik on Saturday remembered Late Dr Farooq Haider on his ninth anniversary.
Malik was quoted by JKLF spokesman in a statement issued here as saying that “Late Doctor Farooq Haider was a legend who till his last breath stood wedded to the cause of freedom. He was a man with a mission, a selfless soul and dedicated to the core with a dream of seeing Kashmir free. Present struggle for freedom is formulated and practiced by sons of soil like Doctor Farooq Haider and thus no power on earth can defeat or weaken it.”
On the occasion Dr Farooq’s death anniversary, Malik termed him as his ‘child hood hero, a legend and a humble son of soil’.
Malik said that Doctor was in himself a revolution, an ideology and a pious soul. “Being a close associate of father of Kashmiri nation Muhammad Maqbool Butt and one of the pioneers of present struggle for freedom, late doctor sahib had to endeavor enormous hardships and turmoil. His clinic located at Sadder Rawalpindi which was a shelter for every homeless, deprived and ailing Kashmiri was attacked and he narrowly escaped the attack,” he said.
JKLF chief said that Doctor was a doctor by heart, his caring person and affection towards patients, his special love for every Kashmiri and his steadfastness and valor to see his nation as a free nation were a lucid confirmation of his prominence.
Terming late leader as a fatherly figure, Malik said that “his firm belief, steadfastness, affectionate behavior and smiling face was an admiration not only friends but for adversaries too and these very traits augmented his respect even in the rival camp.”
While praying for the heavenly abode of the great leader, JKLF chairman said that this nation is indebted to souls like Doctor Farooq Haider and we all today pray to Allah almighty Allah for his elevated place in Jannah.
