Shopkeepers penalized for violating FSS Act
Baramulla: In an effort to ensure quality driven services to the people and to keep vigil on erring traders, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Baramulla Farooq Ahmad Baba on Thursday imposed a fine of Rs 26000 on several shopkeepers and Hoteliers over providing sub-standard services to the visiting customers.
Accordingly a team of officials led by the Assistant Commissioner Food Safety and Food Safety officer inspected these companies and hotels wherein they found the sub-standard services being provided to the people.
Consequently, the matter was brought into the notice of ADC, who is also the adjudicating officer imposed fine under section 51 of Food Safety & Standard Act.
