Dar-ul-Uloom teacher thrashes minor student
Srinagar: In a shocking incident reported from Kashmir capital Srinagar, a Dar-ul-Uloom teacher thrashed a little student mercilessly for not ‘standing correctly’ in the row while offering prayers.
The incident has occurred at Dar-ul-Uloom Kounsariya located at Dachigam area of Srinagar city while the victim is Asif Ahmed, a resident of Kokarnag Anantnag.
The video of the victim student which was posted on social media has gone viral.
In the video, the kid is narrating the ordeal with his fractured arm and bruises on his body.
While talking to CNS, the uncle of the victim student said that they had admitted Asif in the seminary to learn Holy Quran by heart (Hifz) but little did they know that the teacher will act as a beast and instead of teaching him he will thrash him mercilessly.
“We admitted Asif in the hospital wherefrom he was discharged after giving first aid,” he added.
“We won’t lodge a police case but request the teachers to be kind towards little children,” he said.
This isn’t the first time when a Dar-ul-Uloom has come under the radar in Kashmir. Earlier, as well some of these Seminaries had been in bad news for the one or the other reasons.
Despite repeated attempts, Principal of the Dar-ul-Uloom in question couldn’t be contacted. (CNS)
