Govt working on agenda of equitable dev of J&K, says Minister

Jammu: Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Culture and Tourism, Priya Sethi said the state government is working on agenda  of equitable development to ensure welfare of each section of society irrespective of region or religion.

The Minister was speaking during a public meeting held at Rani Park here on Friday to take stock of public issues besides assessing development scenario in the area.

While addressing the gathering, the Minister said the government has taken various path-breaking steps for providing all basic amenities to people of the state at their doorsteps. She said that the government has also launched various social welfare schemes for uplifting the living standards of the people and asked the gathering to come forward and take maximum benefit of these schemes.

The Minister said the government at the Centre has taken innovative steps for the welfare of youth, farmers, women and industrialists.  She said that thrust of the government is on balanced and composite development of all regions especially neglected, rural and border belts for benefit of the populations residing in these areas.

“Strenuous efforts are underway to strengthen the public infrastructure and ensure no citizen is devoid of basic amenities including clean drinking water, electricity, roads besides strong social infrastructure”, she affirmed.
