South Kashmir areas shut for fifth consecutive day

Srinagar: A complete shutdown was being observed in many parts of South Kashmir against the Shopian Killings for the fifth consecutive day on Thursday.

Sources said that Dialgam, Hakura, Kokernag areas of Anantnag District and Tral, Drabgam, Main town, Tahab, Rajpora and many other places in Pulwama observed a shutdown.

The Shopian district is observing a shutdown for the fifth consecutive day against the Shopian killings while internet services continue to remain suspended in Shopian, Kulgam and parts of Pulwama district.

Meanwhile, a complete shutdown was also being observed in the Kulgam district against nocturnal raids in which several youth were arrested.
