Kashmir girl bags gold in Wushu Champioship

Srinagar: A female athlete namely Ayeera Chisti who has been trained at Wushu Academy, J&K State Sports Council, under the mentorship of Asif Hussain has created history by winning first ever Gold medal in Wushu.

In girls category from valley, Ayeera defeated four of her opponents. “In finals, she played outstanding and defeated the best contender Mamta from Haryana,” the academy statement said.

Other players from the academy were: Ansa Chisti and Tabish Hurrah who bagged bronze in sub-junior national Championship that was held at Jammu from 28-31 March.
