Probe ordered into Kangan youth’s killing
Srinagar: District Magistrate Ganderbal has ordered an enquiry into the death of Gowhar Ahmad Rather, S/O Abdul Rehman Rather, R/O Kangan who succumbed to injuries at SKIMS this afternoon.
The order vide number 03-DGM of 2018 has appointed Additional District Magistrate (ADC) as enquiry officer and has been asked to submit a detailed report within 20 days.
Pertinently, Gowhar had yesterday suffered injuries during clashes with government forces in Kangan.
Locals alleged that Gowhar was hit by a bullet in government forces’ action. However, police have denied the claim.
Meanwhile, the medical report of the youth has been widely shared on social media with netizens questioning police claims.
