Rail services to south Kashmir suspended, internet blocked in Anantnag, Shopian

Srinagar: In wake of a militant killing in Anantnag and two separate encounters which are going on in neighbouring Shopian district, authorities decided to suspend railway services to and fro South Kashmir.

A railway official told GNS that the train services from Srinagar to Banihal shall remain suspended today. However, the train will run as per normal schedule from Srinagar to Baramulla.

Meanwhile, internet services have been blocked in Shopian and Anantnag district of south Kashmir.

A militant Rouf Bashir Khanday and his associate Imran Rashid was arrested alive after a gunfight at Brunty Dialgam while two gunfights are going on at Dragad and Kachdoora where three soldiers have been injured.
