Two drug peddlers arrested in Kulgam
Srinagar: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
A spokesman of police said that two drug peddlers, identified as Gurdiyal Massi son of Darshan resident of Kooperthla Punjab and Ravi Singh son of Dilber Singh resident of Jaspal Amratsar were arrested by a Police Party of Police Post JT during naka checking at security check post JT.
“The duo were travelling in an SRTC passenger bus bearing registration number JK01Y-0624 which was on way to Jammu from Srinagar. 09 Kilograms of poppy straw was recovered from their possession” , police official said.
“Kulgam police has registered a case FIR number 66/2018 under section 8/15 NDPS in this regard and investigation was taken up” the official said.
